Made from a traditional 19th century Old Master recipe, carrying forward the legacy of classical studio practice. Atelier fixative is favored by professional artists for its unique ability to permanently hold pigment without diluting colors.

It can be used with soft pastel, charcoal, graphite, and chalk. Works well with paper, canvas, and wood. Use it under oil paints or acrylics to prevent underpaint drawings from smudging or to layer in in other media. Not suitable as a final finish or varnish on top of oil or acrylics.
